#77 - 🏅 Time to Make It Official

This week, you'll find out what the ACA-920 Confluence certification is all about and whether it's worth your time. Also, how Atlassian just scored big industry recognition, and how to brand Confluence exports without much manual work.
Show, Don’t Just Tell
"In this fast-moving, digital world…" NO! This text is not written by AI.
We're better than AI.
So are you.
And you should show that!

Elsa-references. We love them!
It’s easy to look like you know your way around Confluence. But real expertise is harder to fake.
That’s where certifications come in – they show you’ve gone beyond copying macros or relying on AI to format a page. They demonstrate a deeper understanding and the skills to work confidently with Confluence.
For a long time, Atlassian offered certifications only for Jira. But recently, that changed. The new ACA-920 Confluence certification is here (finally!).
Learn how it works, and why it might be worth your time.
💡 What’s the Deal with This Certification?
ACA-920 is Atlassian’s first Confluence certification. Ever. And unlike some certifications that are clearly designed for admins, consultants, or people who breathe configuration screens, this one is made for everyday Confluence users.
Yes, that means you. Whether you’re writing up meeting notes (or anything else that belongs to the content lifecycle), organizing team spaces, or helping others find the right page: This certification focuses on the kind of things most people actually do in Confluence.
To help you get a better feel for the topics and sharpen your skills along the way, we’ve pulled together some of our own guides and tutorials that map to each area of the exam:

🎓 Is It Worth It?
Honestly? That depends on your goals.
If you simply want to get better at using Confluence, Atlassian’s free training path is a great place to start. No strings attached. You’ll come away with more confidence and less reliance on “that one person who knows where everything is.”
But if you’re looking to validate your skills in a way that stands out on a resume, the certification is a smart next step. It’s valid for two years and can be renewed through continuing education credits – helpful, especially as Confluence continues to evolve.
📚 How to Prep
Start with the free certification path. It’s designed for beginners, but even experienced users will learn something new. If your organization uses Confluence, spend time in it. Build things. Edit things. Play around. If not, you can get a free Confluence instance for practice.
Heads up: free versions don’t include everything (like Atlassian Intelligence or page restrictions), and those features do show up on the exam.
If you’re a rather visual person, we can recommend checking out our YouTube channel and especially our Playlist about Confluence Best Practices.
The exam includes up to 30 multiple-choice questions, with 60 minutes to complete them. That’s about two minutes per question – plenty of time to pause, double-check your thinking, and avoid the “hmm… this sounds right?” trap.
🎯 Final Thoughts
Earning this certification is a simple but meaningful way to show your team (and yourself!) that you’ve taken the time to go deeper. You’re not just copying and pasting; you really know your way around Confluence.
And if you pass, seriously: let us know! Share it on LinkedIn, tag @K15t, and we’ll be the first to give you a virtual high five.
Let’s show the world we know what we’re doing in Confluence!

Finally: Quick Branded Confluence Exports
When you create content to share beyond your team, presentation matters just as much as the content itself. The new Branded Templates feature in Scroll PDF Exporter lets you define your brand once (like logos, fonts, colors) and apply it to every PDF.
