Issue #124
End of an Era: Weekly Dose is changing into a Monthly Dose

In this issue… we’ll be a bit nostalgic as we reminisce about 123 previous issues of your Weekly Dose of Confluence in what is the last weekly edition. As we shared last week, we’re switching your favorite all-things-Atlassian newsletter to a monthly cadence.

If you’ve been keeping track, this Weekly Dose of Confluence is issue no. 124. Yes, we’ve spent well over two years diving into Confluence and, increasingly so, the wider Atlassian ecosystem with you, week in and week out.

It has been a truly incredible rhythm and we have loved showing up in your inbox every single week.

But as we teased last week, this marks our final weekly dispatch.

As our community and the Confluence world evolve, we want to make sure we are serving you in the best way possible. Closing the chapter on the Weekly Dose means opening the door to our brand new Monthly Dose of Confluence.

Beyond Confluence

Our world is Confluence-centric, as is the K15t’s content management platform. Over the last 12 months, the lines between individual Atlassian apps have been dissolving rapidly, in many ways thanks to Rovo and initiatives such as Teamwork Collection.

With a fast paced development and increased blurriness between Confluence and the rest of the apps, we faced the dilemma – allow the Weekly Dose to morph into an Atlassian news agency, or offer topical, use-case based content that educates and provides in-depth context.

The former risked sliding into very shallow waters of stating the obvious under the sheer pressure of keeping up with the news. The latter, which we to some extent pivoted to in the last couple of months, proved to be too resource-heavy to sustain on a weekly publishing schedule.

Adopting a monthly schedule is a deliberate choice. It gives our team the time and space to curate even higher quality content, dig deeper into the topics that matter, and deliver a better, more focused content – all wrapped up in one great, comprehensive read.

Our take on Atlassian news

We still want to connect the dots and share our experience with the best and the latest of Atlassian. So we’ll keep an eye on Atlassian news and add value, our 5 cents or more, to any new feature we lay our hands on.

Weekly Dose of Confluence in Numbers

To everyone who has ever opened, read, and learned along with us over the last 124 weeks: thank you. Your support and engagement means the world to us.

We aren't saying goodbye.

We just need to say “see you a little less often, but with even more to share."

We can't wait to drop the very first Monthly Dose into your inbox in June.
