One Page to Start Your Day Right

What’s the first thing you see in the morning when you open your browser?

Is it a wall of Jira tickets screaming for attention? A backlog that’s grown overnight? Well, Atlassian might just have a solution for you. Today we’ll talk about Atlassian’s Company Hub and how you can lower the noise and bring everything into one place.

What’s a Company Hub, Anyway?

At its core, the Company Hub is a single, customizable landing page, where the admin can pin links, share announcements, give a spotlight to whom it’s due, and centralize resources.

But let’s rip off the band-aid: the Company Hub is only available for users of Confluence Premium or Enterprise. If you’re using Standard at your company, this solution might not be in your toolbox.

But don’t click away! Even if you’re not on Premium, you’ll want to see what’s possible and if you should consider negotiating with your admin about an upgrade.

Why and When To Use the Company Hub

If your company is growing, distributed, or just plain busy, the Company Hub is a great way to bring everything together in one place. It functions as an entry point, a junction, for many-wide announcements, policies, onboarding guides, and those “where’s the link?” resources everyone always asks for.

Thanks to audience segmentation for the cards, you can show different information to different teams or roles. So that, for example, HR updates don’t clutter the developers' view.

Where Does the Company Hub Live?

A few months ago, it was possible to set the Company Hub as the home page of Confluence, but that’s not possible anymore. Now, you’ll find the Company Hub in the Confluence sidebar.

But here’s a fun fact: every Atlassian app now has its own landing page. That means you’ve got three levels of “home” to keep in mind:

  1. Home: Your personal Atlassian dashboard, showing activity across all products.

  2. App landing page: Each app (like Confluence or Jira) has its own starting point.

  3. Company Hub: The organization-wide destination for everything that matters (if enabled).
