Marco is going to be talking about the Five Pillars of Identity from research by Prof. Dr. Hilarion Petzold and how to use these pillars to prevent crises.

Petzold has a very long definition of what defines 'identity', but luckily he has a shortened version too: identity can be described as the answer to the questions "who am I?" and "who do I belong to?"

Our personalities develop through social relationships in five core areas, each one equals one of the five pillars. As life situations and conversational partners change throughout our lives, the formation of our identity actually never ends.

It's as simple as that.

His talk 'Sex, Love, and Leadership' answers questions such as: why do we have such a hard time achieving a fulfilled life? Why are we often dissatisfied and want more? How do relationships work and why are there so few "real" relationships? What does this mean for leadership? And what does that have to do with fulfillment?
