How JIRA uses JIRA – JIRA team's best practices

Dave Meyer,
Product Manager - JIRA Platform, Atlassian

Come learn JIRA, from JIRA. Dave Meyer, Product Manager for JIRA, will show how the JIRA team uses JIRA across every function of the business, from development and operations to design and financial reporting. He will share best practices learned over 12 years of building JIRA, demonstrate how you can get the most from JIRA 6.4, and preview what's coming in JIRA 7.

Using JIRA for requirements management

Thomas Büschgens,
Project Manager, W&W Informatik GmbH

The software development process for financial institutes has to meet a couple of regulatory requirements – foremost the paradigm of traceability. Tom speaks about how JIRA is used at W&W Informatik to ensure the 'chain of custody' over a grown heterogeneous landscape of different tools in the development process. In the current setup JIRA acts as a central information hub and 'data glue' between specialized tools for disciplines like test management or requirement analysis. Based on this setup he will present the current strategy to migrate the tools at the JIRA periphery into JIRA to create an integrated process – and managing more relevant documentation using JIRA.
