Think Out of Your Box - Highlights From the tcworld Conference and Fair 2014

3 min read /

tcworld Conference 2014, the world's largest technical communication conference and fair, is over! Now it's time to say 'Thank you' to all who visited us at our booth, and to have a look back on three exciting days in Stuttgart, Germany – full of insightful discussions, new Scroll content management add-ons, live demos, our techcomm survey, and free t-shirts.

Highlights Presented by K15t Software

At our booth, conference participants and trade show visitors had the opportunity to get a first-hand demo and learn about our new and updated content management and single-source publishing add-ons for Confluence:

  • Scroll CHM Exporter: With this latest exporter, you can create context-sensitive Microsoft Compiled HTML Help (CHM) from your Confluence content easily.
  • Scroll Remote Publishing Endpoint: Publish your versioned Confluence content to another Confluence system
  • Scroll Acrolinx Connector: Speak with one voice and check your terminology, grammar, and style inside the Confluence editor.
  • Scroll Viewport 2.0: A sneak preview on the upcoming all-new version of this Confluence add-on – the best way to publish from Confluence to the web.

The K15t Software Booth

This was the first year that the tcworld Conference and fair took place in Stuttgart, Germany. So everything was quite new for both visitors and exhibitors. But fortunately everyone could find our booth easily – to have a chat with us, and to think out of the box when managing technical documentation.

We have received valuable feedback from the technical writing community, and got many interesting new ideas for enhancing our Scroll products.

Cool Swag from K15t Software

And finally, it's not a secret anymore that we at K15t Software give away free t-shirts at such events. So this year's Scroll add-on shirts (and the accompanying stickers) became very popular:

A huge "Thank you!" goes also to Rachel Robins of Atlassian who joined us at our booth to explain how technical writers at Atlassian use our Scroll Versions content management add-on to manage their extensive product documentation for Confluence, JIRA and Bamboo.

What's Next?

Everyone who visited the K15t Software team at our booth was invited to participate in a survey about key technical communication metrics – how technical writers collaborate nowadays and which tools they currently use for managing their documentation content. We're really happy that so many people have participated. Stay tuned for the results!
