Atlassian Summit 2014 - A Five-Star Review

3 min read /

We had a wonderful time at the Atlassian Summit 2014 in San Jose. It was the largest Atlassian event ever held – and it exceeded all our expectations. The summit united Atlassian customers, experts and add-on developers for Confluence, JIRA and other Atlassian products from all over the world.

In this blog post, we explain why we’re giving the Atlassian Summit 2014 a five-star rating.

Atlassian Keynote – Exciting New Products and Features

Our first star goes to Atlassian for hosting this great event – and for the outstanding keynote presentation given by Atlassian’s founders, Scott Farquhar and Mike Cannon-Brookes. They showcased a host of innovations, such as JIRA Portfolio, Stash Data Center, and JIRA Service Center 2.0.

But what impressed us the most was the sneak preview of Confluence 5.7. Here are some of the new features on the way:

  • Users can finally add in-line comments on Confluence pages, significantly enhancing reviewing processes.
  • It will be possible to share and comment on attachments inline. File attachments will be treated like first-class citizens!
  • We also gained a glimpse of the future: real-time editing in Confluence. This might be coming our way as early as next year.

A Star for Our Customers and Partners

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who visited our booth at this year’s Atlassian Summit. Thanks, too, to all who talked to us and tweeted with us about our Scroll content management add-ons for Confluence.

We had a great time, as always – and we look forward to working with you for many years to come.

The Bay Area & Silicon Valley

They say it’s always sunny in California – and it looks like they’re right. We expected glorious weather, and the San Jose certainly didn’t disappoint. However, we're happy that Summit will return to San Francisco next year.

We also found that deliveries and shipments between Germany and San Jose arrived seamlessly every time – so we have no hesitation in awarding a third star here.

Two Stars at Our Booth: Atlassian’s Rachel and Christine

Last but not least, we were delighted to welcome Christine Burwinkle and Rachel Robins – two highly talented Atlassian technical writers – to the K15t booth. They eloquently explained how they use our Scroll Versions content management add-on to manage extensive support documentation for Confluence, JIRA and Bamboo.

Our last two stars are for you, Christine and Rachel!

See You Next Year
